Infection Control Risk Assessment
Ensuring Patient Safety During construction and Renovation

Dedicated To
Preventing Infection

CIP partner contractors place significant value on safety. When working in occupied healthcare facilities, they take extensive measures to ensure patient and staff safety.

Inadequate procedures during an occupied healthcare facility construction project can release contaminants trapped above ceilings, behind walls or under floors, allowing them to infiltrate patient and staff environments via HVAC systems, foot traffic, and other conduits.

However, union-trained carpenters and millwrights learn the necessary techniques to maintain safety standards through Infection Control Risk (ICRA) training.

Because of extensive ICRA training, CIP contractors depend on union-trained carpenters and millwrights when doing work in the healthcare industry. They know they are getting highly qualified professionals who utilize the best practices to keep patients and staff safe.

ICRA Education

Construction Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Best Practices is an innovative program that provides patient-focused training for carpenters, healthcare professionals, facilities managers, architects, vendors and other trades working in hospitals, medical facilities or other occupied spaces.

This set of best practices helps prevent the spread of disease and infection during construction at healthcare facilities.
